In the mist and fog and silence, there is a cave. There is darkness within darkness there and nothing more and the faint whiff of something ... not right.

But there's a drawing stuck to the rocks that frame the opening, a childish grouping of trees and a tall, thin man, with the words TAMAN SHUD.

"I think we should go here," says Jack.

It's a sad song that begins to quietly echo in the cave.
A sad song that slowly increases in volume.

Momiji rubs his wrists, and then wipes his eyes.

"I swear, I tried really hard not to go. I couldn't help it.". Fresh tears stream down his face.

[ami_imperfect]

"Don't worry; it's okay."

Dani tries to sound reassuring, even as the song sets her on edge.

"Yeah. It's totally not your fault. Can you walk? Do you need us to get you out of here?"

[zodiac_rabbit]

Momiji looks between Enzo and Dani. "Um, could you give me a hug?". He is looking at Dani as he speaks.

The singing is louder now, and there's a malevolent undercurrent to the tune.
They're coming for you.

Dani blinks in surprise.

"Why?"

[zodiac_rabbit]

Momiji looks into the darkness, then back at Dani. "I don't think I can move far right now, but um, it is weird, and easier to show you."

Before the singers arrive.

[ami_imperfect]

"Well...okay."

Dani approaches Momiji then, with a confused/apologetic look at Enzo, puts her arms around the blond boy being sure to be careful of his injuries.

Enzo shrugs back at her. It doesn't sound like Momiji's trying to move in on his woman, and he can't really blame him for wanting a hug under the circumstances.

[zodiac_rabbit]

And all becomes clear as Dani is no longer holding a boy, but a yellow haired rabbit.

The white-haired girl blinks in surprise at the transformation.

"What the- Momiji?!"

"Dude! That... explains more than it should."

[zodiac_rabbit]

"I would've told you... but the curse is a big secret. But I wasn't much use."

The song sounds even louder in his bigger ears. And even meaner.

"Long story short- I change whenever I get sick, or when a female hugs me. And I can't control it at all. Sorry if I sounded like I was hitting on, um.."

Actually, Momiji isn't quite sure what Dani is.

"I'm Momiji." Time for an introduction. Well, as long a one as time allows for. That singing is getting closer.

"I'm Dani; I'm Enzo's girlfriend." Not to mention relieved that Momiji can still talk when he's in this form; she was worried that they were going to have to try and decipher nose twitches or something. "And I think you're forgiven in this case."

"Now let's get out of here." Because that singing is getting way too close for her comfort.

Rabbits have a surprising amount of body language, but this is not the time for a crash course.

"Yeah, it's cool. This time," he adds with mock-sternness. "You need carrying?"

[zodiac_rabbit]

"I'm fine, but could you grab my clothes? I kinda... don't keep them when It transform back."

Momiji starts hopping out of the cave, moving with surprising swiftness for an albino bunny.

Dani rolls her eyes; boys.

Then she stoops to pick up the discarded articles of clothing before following Momiji out of the cave.

She does not blame him for his speed.

As they walk, Enzo asks, "So... that's why the other you always had a thing for rabbits? He's a parallel version of the Momiji who used to be around here," he explains to Dani.

The tune slowly changes from sad to something eerily reminiscent of the theme from Jaws.

Oh, and it's getting closer.

[zodiac_rabbit]

"Yeah... they find us. Usually it's cool, but sometimes they show up at really awkward times."

Momiji would continue, but decides that maybe moving faster is a better option. He doesn't want to leave the pair behind though.

Dani quickens her pace, but it has nothing to do with the change in cadence of the song. Absolutely nothing at all.

"Even the demon ones around here?" she can't resist asking.

[zodiac_rabbit]

"Demon bunnies? I've only meet really sweet bunnies. They crowd around me if I come too close to the forest. Are they usually nasty?"

News to Momiji!

"Yeah, they are. I guess they like you 'cause, well, they're still bunnies."

Enzo speaks lightly, but he is very alert, and has his hands on (and in) his weapons.

"They breathe fire," Dani puts in.

Carrying Momiji's clothing makes wielding her ecto-saber a little difficult, so she's got it clipped to her tool belt. One-handed ecto blasts will have to suffice for now.
