In the mist and fog and silence, there is a cave. There is darkness within darkness there and nothing more and the faint whiff of something ... not right.

But there's a drawing stuck to the rocks that frame the opening, a childish grouping of trees and a tall, thin man, with the words TAMAN SHUD.

Momiji has ducked down the side tunnel, and is running as well as he can with his pants in his mouth. It seems to be getting darker as they move along, and even the faint glow from his friends behind is only slightly making a dent into the darkness.

He sees what could be faint light ahead, and decides that is where they ought to go. It helps there are no side-tunnels to turn down, so it is the only direction to go.

Another fifty feet and the pair break out into a cavern just in time to hear...
